The Process
Your first consultation
If you would like a design for your whole garden, a first meeting is arranged to discuss your project and budget, this will normally last one hour - and this will normally be a free service.
This gives us a chance for us to walk around your garden to discuss your likes and dislikes, how you would like to use your garden, your favourite plants and colour schemes. Or, you may have a theme in mind or an idea you'd like to develop. Following our meeting, we will send you a summary of your brief, based on our conversation, with services offered and design fees. If you decide to go ahead, we will arrange a site survey and analysis. If your garden is large or has complicated level changes a landscape survey may be required. The design processFrom the information gathered in our first consultation and subsequent survey, we will provide you with a garden design -including a concept plan, a series of 3D perspective views with ideas about planting and materials. These drawings will be presented to you and any amendments or further ideas can be discussed at this stage.
Garden constructionOnce the garden design is complete, we can recommend preferred contractors, or you may wish to appoint your own. If required we can provide you with a detailed Landscape Specification Document, with details of materials and construction methods. This will allow you to get competitive quotes from contractors, knowing that they are working from the same specification.
A project monitoring service at key stages of the project to ensure your garden construction is progressing to plan can also be provided. Planting plansPlanting plans can be produced as part of the design package, and will normally be presented, along with moodboards in a follow-up meeting.
Planting serviceThe final exciting phase of the design is adding the planting. We can provide a planting service with supply of plants from quaility nurseries to complete the project.
As your garden grows we will provide a maintenance plan, so you can continue to get the most from your planting and enjoy the changing seasons. ConsultancyYou may be a home-owner who wants to landscape your own garden but needs some guidance. Or you might want some help rejuvenating an existing garden.
If you don't want a full re-design of your garden, planting plans and advice can be provided as a stand-alone service. |
